“ Popped in for a traditional pint of ale while over from Australia visiting my father in hospital. The old style interior added a rustic charm, typical of what you hope to find in an English pub. Didn't eat while I was there but the menu on the table looked like a good selection of pub classics at reasonable prices. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going back to the Windmill. ”
“ Decided to visit as it was close to our friend’s house and dog friendly. When we arrived, we were greeted straight away by a friendly staff team and our dog got lots of attention including water and a few doggy treats. Good selection of beer and generous shots of Sambuca! We ordered some food and we were all pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, good portions, burger was beautifully cooked, onion rings were definitely home-made, chef was friendly and engaged with the table. Locals were friendly and the atmosphere made us stay longer. Would definitely visit and eat here again! ”
“ We have been here this afternoon for a festive Christmas afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious. The assortment of sandwiches, the hand made amazing sausage rolls. Pigs in blankets, smoked salmon canapés delicious. The staff were very accommodating.. Unlimited tea and coffee. The deserts were amazing.. Scones with preserve and clotted cream chocolate brownies, mince pies with warm brandy sauce, and so much more. Definitely worth the money £10.95 per person. A fabulous afternoon in a lovely welcoming friendly pub 100%satisfaction Thankyou. Will definitely return ”
“ Had a lovely Afternoon Tea today with friends. Lovely fresh food, plenty of sandwich choice with ample filling. Nice selection of desert cakes and tea and coffee on demand and I might add the coffee was lovely. Staff were efficient, pleasant and professional and a nice atmosphere. All in all, really good value for money. ”
“ Went here on a Sunday afternoon on the run up to Christmas, This is one of our go to pubs when we are visiting family in the area. The food was very nice we had the 2 course set xmas meal. this was very good and we all enjoyed it the venue was warm and inviting, This time we did have an issue with the service when we ordered the coffees after the meal we order 8 hot drinks 4 of them came out after 15min then we had to wait another 20min for the other 4 after going up and asking for them. which was a shame as everything was very good upto this point. Hopeful just a one off as the girl was on her own at the bar. We have been here lots of time before and not had any issue. ”
